October

Giving ‘em ~pumpkin~ to talk about. Happy October Blog! Let’s see what's in the NO-VAdance…

10/5 - Field Day

  • One might have mistaken Sheehan Beach for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on Saturday, October 5th. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., NOVAdance members and B+ Heroes competed in a series of field day events. From kickball to a water balloon toss, relays, and tug-of-war, everyone showed up and showed out. There was no better way for NOVAdance to welcome their new B+ Hero, Pascal, to campus for the very first time.

    10/8 - Villanova’s 1842 Day

  • Did someone say Cat Cabs?! 1842 Day is Villanova’s yearly day of giving in which organizations participate to raise funds for their on-campus involvements. NOVAdance members rode dozens and dozens of golf carts in celebration of 1842 Day on Tuesday, October 8th. With every trivia question answered correctly on a golf cart ride around campus, $50 was donated to the organization.

    10/ 22 & 10/23 - Email MANIA

  • This 48-hour campaign is all about sending as many fundraising emails as possible to help support B+ Heroes and families all around the world. Every email sent counts as an entry to win a prize including gift cards to restaurants and shops, and a JBL speaker. The person who sent the most emails was gifted an iPad! Thanks to Email Mania, NOVAdance raised a total of $43,188.26! A lot of these donations came from new funders… look at that B+ message spread <3

10/26 - Cat Cares Football Game

  • B+ Heroes Christos and Sebastian were welcomed as honorary captains at the Cat Cares Homecoming Weekend football game! Shoutout to Villanova Football for the win and Christos and Sebastian for bringing their energy and class.

    10/27 - Halloween B+ Hero Party

  • Channeling the swagger of a professional NBA star, seven-year-old B+ Hero Harry Clark charged towards the rim of the mini basketball hoop in his adorable, yet fierce, SWAT Halloween costume. On Sunday, October 24th, the annual B+ Halloween Hero Party was held in Cova from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Filled with Halloween decorations of all kinds, Cova became unrecognizable. Halloween music played softly in the background as students, kids, and adults filled the room with chatter and laughter. People of all ages proudly sported costumes with a surprise guest appearance from an inflatable “Among Us” Imposter costume. Pumpkins were painted, “dirt and worms” were eaten, and great times were had.
