As the leaves crunch underfoot, books crack open, and football stadiums come alive, we know it’s September. And that means one exciting thing: NOVAdance is back (though we never really left)!!! Happy September Blog! Let’s see what's in the NO-VAdance…
9/6 - Activities Fair
Beginning every semester, Villanova hosts a large Activities Fair for all on-campus organizations and clubs to share their missions and gain more involved members. Multiple NOVAdance members were granted an opportunity to share their ‘whys’ and recruit new MOCO members, Engagements Coordinators, Hero Liaisons, and Team Captains as fellow Villanova students walked from table to table.
9/13 - Nova Nights (Theme Reveal)
The secret is out! Join us for NOVAdance 2025: SO NO HERO RIDES ALONE! With the announcement of a carnival theme, NOVAdance members and other Villanova students celebrated Awareness’ hard work on creating such an awesome theme that we cannot wait to see come to life.
9/14 - B+ BBQ
What better way to celebrate the theme reveal than with the B+ BBQ! On South Campus, NOVAdance members enthusiastically shared the B+ message with first-year students. There were plenty of hot dogs to enjoy, and many new NOVAdance pages were created. What a great combo.
9/23 - 9/27 - Awareness Week
Awareness Week marks a five-day long period of time where students can attend events or see reminders around campus of the incredible work NOVAdance does every year. These events bring awareness to childhood cancer and the effect it has on millions of families each year.
Monday → Paint the Town Gold: Villanova students ‘whys’ were posted across campus with yellow ribbons
Tuesday → Awareness Panel:
Wednesday → Apparel Sale
Thursday → Flowers For Our Heroes: Beautiful flowers were sold as a fundraiser for our B+ Heroes
Friday → Dine Out Day at Honeygrow in Ardmore & wear NOVAdance merchandise
9/29 B+ Brunch
What better way to celebrate Villanova’s Family Weekend than with the beloved annual B+ Brunch?! NOVAdance members and their families came together to enjoy a delightful spread of eggs, waffles, muffins, and so much more. The Special Events team planned and executed an amazing event that allowed students to share the NOVAdance message with their loved ones. Thank you to everyone who came - and a special shoutout to B+ Hero Lilly and her family for attending!
